To support its training mission, the Academy has a wide range of facilities which include spacious and well equipped lecture rooms, conference halls, auditoria, library, mess, hostel, sports complex, dispensary, reprographic unit, bank, post office, EPABX, computer lab and lately, the LAN and the Internet.
TEACHING FACILITIES :
The primary focus of the facilities at the Academy is on teaching. There are a number of well-equipped lecture rooms and seminar/conference halls
- SVGA projectors to handle computer screens and VCR output;
- Slide and overhead projectors;
- Video recording of classroomm sessions.
RESEARCH :
MEDICAL :
The Academy dispensary provides medical services to all the officer-trainees, faculty, staff and their families. It is manned by a Senior Medical Officer, a Lady Medical Officer, and nursing and technical staff. A pathology lab and an X-ray unit are attached to the dispensary.
ENT and eye specialists, orthopaedists, cardiologists, dentists and General Physicians on contract visit the Academy Dispensary. Serious cases are referred to the hospitals either in Mussoorie or Dehra Dun.
A Society for Social Services runs a free Homeopathic dispensary.

OFFICERS MESS :
At the heart of the community life of the Academy is the Officers Mess comprising of the Officers Lounge, the Music Lounge and the Dining Hall. It is managed by the the Mess Committee of the Officer Trainees and assisted by full timeMess Officer, Accountant and a staff of about 40. The Mess Committee organises formal and informal evenings along with one of the Clubs or Societies.
The Mess also provides the following services:
(a) Newspaper, magazine delivery service
(b) Accessories(scarves, ties, tiepins) with Academy logos.
(c) Boarding facilities run on a contributory basis.
There is also a coffee machine, cable TV and various indoor games in the Officers' Lounge.
