Features of this site
This site has two portions - one portion which is accessible to all users and the other portion which is restricted to registered users. The
menus appearing in the top black bar, the middle orange bar and the bottom black
bar are accessible to any user who is surfing the net. The menus appearing in the column on the left of the screen are operational only for registered
users. They are disabled for unregistered users and become operational once the username and password are entered.
Portions Accessible to all users
The site provides a wide range of useful information on –

The Academy- its facilities, faculty, staff, about Mussoorie. You can
take a quick enjoyable tour of LBSNAA.

Civil List – Gives you quick access to the civil list. You can search by
name, cadre or year.

Training Courses – you can find out about ongoing courses at the Academy.

Workshops & Seminars – you can find out about these.

NSDART – this is the research wing of the Academy. You can know more
about it.

Current Topics – read more about debates on current topics such as
administrative reforms, economic reforms, civil service reform, etc. If you
are a registered user, you can contribute to these.

Research – you can learn more about the research centers, programs and
projects in the Academy. The Academy can finance the costs of making case
studies and source books. Find out more about that the Research Program
SOFTRAIN.

Civil Services – You can know more about the civil services, the
recruitment procedures, the trainee information of the current batch, the
joining instructions for the latest batch, the civil services results for
the past few years and the civil list.

Audio Clips – You can hear the National Anthem and the Academy Song

Web Links – There are useful links to other useful government sites and
public policy sites.
Portions Accessible to registered users
This portion is for the trainees in the Academy and the alumni. The purpose is to become a useful portal for civil servants who can
communicate with each other through this, find out more about their colleagues, share
experiences and best practices, chat with each other, get information on specific issues, etc. The aim is that this page should be the home page for
civil servants.
Access to this portion is restricted only to registered users. If you want to find out more about registration, please click on Information about
registration on the home page or send a request to registration@lbsnaa.ernet.in
The features that are currently available to registered users
are:

E-mail – you have 5Mb space available to you for storing and sending
e-mails. These can be accessed through the web or can be downloaded onto
your PC through POP3. Your system administrator can configure your PC for
POP3. You can also forward your e-mails to any other address automatically.

Group e-mail – You can send e-mails to groups of colleagues- by batch,
service, cadre or any combination. There will be no need to type out separate addresses for all.

Personal Web pages – An alumnus can set up his/ her own web page using
the tools we have provided. Family photos can be added. This can be a fun
place for communicating with colleagues.

The Library – the library has an on-line catalogue and clipping service.
You can search on keywords for relevant books or articles.

Training Courses – you can know much more about courses in the Academy
including reports produced by trainees, presentations by faculty, course
photographs, etc.

Training Material – All training material used in courses in the Academy
can be accessed. This is indexed by subject.

Search – You can search within the site for any topic or issue by
keywords.

Research – All research material produced in the Academy or its centers
will be available.

Scheduling – Through this, you can know about the availability of faculty
members on any day.

Workflow – most functions in the Academy are getting automated. You can
query for information on a range of parameters through this.e.g., status of
a TA Bill, leave status, etc.

We are also in the process of making the homepage dynamic so that you can

Registration Information

Registered users are those who have been allotted a username and password
by the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. These are
given only to the alumni of the Academy belonging to the All India Services
and other Group “A” Civil Services. The Academy has already allocated
usernames and passwords to all officers belonging to the IAS and some to others. These have been intimated to the concerned officers. If you are an
alumni of the Academy and in case you have not received the usermame and password, please contact us at –
